The Merlo TFe43.7 electric telehandler receives a “Mention” at the Eima 2024 Technical Innovation Contest

This contest rewards and enhances the innovative products proposed by the industry for increasingly advanced agricultural and gardening activities in terms of production quality, safety and environmental sustainability.

The medium-capacity telehandler is equipped with a 7-metre boom and can lift 4,3 tonnes. Quiet and zero emissions, it is designed to work at its best even in enclosed spaces such as stables or storage warehouses, without worrying about the emission of harmful gases or noise pollution.

Presented as a prototype last year at Agritechnica, Merlo's TFe43.7 was awarded the “Mention” in the Technical Innovation Contest at EIMA 2024, the international agricultural and gardening machinery exhibition scheduled to take place in Bologna from 6 to 10 November.

The TFe43.7 is part of the so-called “Generation Zero” range, which aims at zero fuel consumption, zero noise and vibration, zero emissions with the e-WORKER as its leader.

The EIMA contest rewards and enhances the innovative products proposed by the industry for increasingly advanced agricultural and gardening activities in terms of production quality, safety and environmental sustainability. The “Mention” is awarded to all devices featuring original improvements compared to products already manufactured or patented.

“The Generation Zero is based on four cornerstones common to all Merlo products,” says Paolo Merlo, Chairman of the Merlo Group, “which means maximum attention to performance, comfort, operator safety and efficiency, with a focus on reducing working time and operating costs. In addition to this, “Generation Zero” adds three other unique and distinctive features, namely zero emissions, zero noise and zero use of fossil fuels. Our choice was to build and market machines that not only reduce noise and emissions, but also offer exceptional performance. With this model and the previous ones that started to be marketed as early as 2021, we are ready to occupy important market shares in the electric sector as well”.

Quiet and zero emissions, the TFe43.7 is designed to work at its best even in enclosed spaces such as stables or storage warehouses, without worrying about the emission of harmful gases or noise pollution, improving the well-being of both operators and animals. Reduced noise pollution also makes it suitable for night work or in noise-sensitive locations.

Equipped with batteries, autonomy is eight hours (effectively guaranteeing a full working day) while the recharge time is of three and a half hours. The maximum speed is approximately of 33 km/h. The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) - the calculation of the cost of a fixed asset that takes into account not only the purchase price but also the related running costs over the entire life cycle of the product - is lower than that of a conventional machine.
